Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1 – Boom Studios Comic Book Reboot – Comic Load 1/23/2019


It’s comic book day! We have the first issue of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot from Boom Studios. The comic goes back to Sunnydale and has a different origin for the Scooby Gang. The original story is different but at least he same essential elements are the same. Check out my thoughts on this mildly spoilery comic review.

Uncanny X-Men #1 – Disassembled Part 1 – Comic Load 11/14/2018


It’s comic book day! A couple great issues came out this week but my particular favorite was Uncanny X-Men #620 or as it is being re-numbered – #1…because Marvel loves their #1’s. The Age of Apocalypse is being revisited to an extent with certain characters that crossed over from the previous alternate universe. There is also a mutant vaccine that is going to be a huge catalyst for the upcoming storyline. So many new unanswered questions and this looks to be a great plot...
