Twistoid and Rotar.Movie_Snapshot

Twistoid and Rotar- a bit more obscure in the Masters of the Universe toyline, but they did make appearances near the end of the toy run back in the 1980’s. The originals were tops that were spun around, which was their gimmick/action feature. Many fans are not bothering with these two, but I personally think they’re pretty cool. If a movie studio prevents advanced reviews on upcoming films, usually that means that the studio knows that the movie is going to fail. In this case, 20th Century Fox has refused to allow reviews of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie until August 7, 2015. Which is the release date of the movie. Meaning, that no one can give their opinions of the movie until the movie has actually been released.

Fantastic Four

Some films do this as a way to keep the element of surprise or to allow fairness in other reviewers so that everyone can post up their own coverage more or less at the same time. But waiting to the last minute to allow anyone to review the movie is generally a sure sign that the movie is going to fail. This generally means that the viewer cannot warn other viewers to not see a horrible movie until it is too late because the other consumers have already purchased tickets. It’s the only way for some studios to make at least some profit on the movie.

I hope that I am wrong and I will give the movie a completely fair chance to impress me. I have low expectations, so it should not be hard to surpass my original thoughts being that I never cared for the previous two installments. This could be awesome or it could be so horribly bad.

But hey, if it bombs, maybe Disney/Marvel could buy back the rights and make the Fantastic Four part of the Marvel Universe?

Big Eden

Big Eden is probably one of the sweetest feel good movies that I’ve seen in a long time. The movie centers on Henry Hart returning to his small hometown to take care of his ailing grandfather. There’s a bit of a romantic triangle taking place between him, his high school crush, and the local owner of the general store. It has a great ending and the over all story is definitely high in the happiness department. I actually got teary eyed myself at a couple different scenes.

Dean

Henry and Pike

Michael B Jordon
There’s always a lot of controversy over castings in movies, and never will there be a time when everyone is satisfied with an actor who is placed in any iconic role. I will admit, I do question a lot of castings that are unusual, like when Nicholas Cage was cast as Superman in the ill fated Superman Lives movie that never saw production…that’s a different post, I’ll go into that another time. But one of the big deals that a lot many comic geek fans have been questioning is Micheal B Jordan’s (don’t ever forget to put the ‘B’ in his name, or you’ll get a completely different person pop up) casting as Johnny Storm.
Johnny Storm
I never had problem with the casting of Johnny Storm. I have many other issues that stem from so many other elements. Like why is the rock creature from the Never Ending Story playing the Thing?
thing
Jamie-Bell-Actor
And why is the human version of the Thing (Ben Grimm) played by Jamie Bell, who admittedly is very hot, but looks tiny in comparison to how Ben actually looks and isn’t a brawler from Brooklyn? And why is the Thing fucking naked?! Blue shorts, that’s all they need. Seriously, his junk is destroyed when he becomes the Thing?
Stan-Lee

But recently, Stan Lee actually gave his opinion on this matter. He spoke with Entertainment Weekly:
“I thought it was a great idea!” Lee said, regarding Jordan’s role. “They [the critical fans] are outraged not because of any personal prejudice… They’re outraged because they hate to see any change made on a series and characters they had gotten familiar with. In ‘Spider-Man,’ when they got a new actor, that bothered them, even though it was a white actor. I don’t think it had to do with racial prejudice as much as they don’t like things changed…I think they’re gonna get to love this character,” he continued, “So I’m not the least bit worried about it. I always tried to pepper these groups with as much racial diversity as possible because that’s the way the world is.”

So what do you think? Is this a big deal? I hope the movie is well done, but I have a lot of fears and think that it may not do too well. But that is more because of the story and the direction that it looks like it is heading. I hope I am wrong though. Although I think that 20th Century Fox wussed out and should have cast Susan Storm as a black woman as well. In fact they should have. Fox is saying that Susan is ‘adopted,’ which is total B.S. They did not want the lead female to be a black woman, which is so sad that they would do that. To me, that is what more people should be upset about.

Rugrats

Did you watch Rugrats? I watched Rugrats. In fact, I loved Nick toons in the 90s and 2000s. Rugrats was about little babies and the adventures that they would get into. It was very much for kids but I know a lot of adults loved it too because of the complexities of the story and there was enough of a story to keep people of all ages entertained. There was a Rugrats movie that came out and later the sequel series All Grown Up, which I admit I never got into. But did you know that Tommy nearly killed his baby brother in the movie?

Rugrats Tommy 1

How did I not realize think that this was all kinds of fucked up back then? I was totally unphased by this when I first saw it and now rewatching the movie today, I can’t believe that I didn’t get upset. The whole scene was based on jealousy, but still. Damn. Here’s the full scene if you’re interested in seeing it. It’s only about one minute long.

Fall of Grayskull HeMan

I posted recently about the fan film- Fall of Grayskull, which looks awesome, but there is a comic book prologue that came out too. The story opens up with an evil plot of Skeletor’s to take over Eternia. Only this time, he may actually succeed. This comic helps the reader catch up to what we will be seeing when the actual fan film is released.

You can read the full comic book at FallofGrayskull.com.

German

I shouldn’t be laughing as hard as I am at this video, but it’s so true. I took one German class while working on my bachelors and I barely got by with a ‘C’ and I was considered one of the ones in the class that did well.

Jurassic Park Porn

I swear to Buddha, I thought I’ve seen or at least heard of every type of porn that exists. Wow, I was so wrong. This Thai company- www.gthaimovie.com/, has apparently made a Jurassic Park porn that is based on the recent Jurassic World movie, starring Chris Pratt.

The site takes a while to load, I have no idea why. But once it did, I watched the SFW YouTube Trailer, it just confused me. Obviously guys are dressed in raptor costumes, but are they raping the men before they eat them? Or is that just what is being alluded to?

After exploring the site (which took a while being that everything loaded so slowly), I saw that they made several parodies, including Paranormal Activity, and a Zombie Gay Porn Parody too. Those actually look good and I kinda want to review them. Don’t judge me too harshly, but I want to see the Jurassic Park Parody too.

Anyways, check out the Jurassic Park trailer below:
