I just reviewed issue number 2 of Jem and the Holograms from IDW Comics. There’s a lot of critics against this book, but it also has a big fan following too. I do like the series and I’m liking the direction that they’re taking with the characters. Here’s my thoughts on this issue.

  1. I was not a fan of the Jem cartoon so I was going to give this series a pass. However, you convinced me to give the comic a chance with your reviews. WOW! I read all 5 issues that are out and it is such a fun comic. I will definitely keep reading. Thanks.

  2. “…kept the personalities intact…”?! Didn’t you say, in another video, that you’d not watched the original show? I might be mistaken on that aspect but I think you’re in error. Pizzazz did throw her share of temper tantrums but she was not a mindless, screaming idiot…and Stormer and Kimber were NOT gay. Kimber was boy-crazy. This Kimber-Stormer mess came from the episode “The Bands Break Up” where they form a duet…they were not lovers, or girlfriends. Again, this whole comic feels like bad fanfiction.
