Scooby Doo 2 FINAL.Movie_Snapshot

This is not the Scooby Doo of you childhood. This is a completely different universe where a real zombie/monster apocalypse has taken place. The gang has to survive and become a unit in order to survive this hellish world. It’s a great read and an awesome alternate reality that we are not used to seeing with the Scooby Gang.

The movie does look to be great! I am still not in love with Apocalypse’s look, but I definitely like that Oscar Isaac is playing En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse himself). Storm looks great, as does Psylocke. I cannot wait to see some of the battles taking place. What are you thoughts?

Apocalypse Part 2 Mancast (3).Movie_Snapshot

The second part to Men.com’s Apocalypse series is out! This time we get a cameo appearance by Paddy O’Brien while we focus the splacking action by Dario Beck and Jay Roberts. Excellent series and very grungie and dirty. I love sci-fi themed scenes like this.

Do you like apocalyptic movies where everyone has the potential to be killed off in some sort of death sport/fight? Well over at Men.com, they have a new Apocalypse series out. This one has a death match between Hector De Silva and Paddy O’Brian. Damn hot scene to start things out with.

So many good movie trailers are out. X-Men – Age of Apocalypse trailer just aired and I’m totally nerdgasming everywhere! We get some accurate portrayals of some of the characters. Mohawk Storm. Can we all just appreciate that? The feel is very comic-y and I cannot tell you how excited I am to see Angel become Archangel. The ending shot of the trailer is something that I would have saved for the movie, but whatever, I’m still happy. I was not happy with Apocalypse’s look originally but I’m thinking he’s going to be CGI’d to death, so it won’t matter. I won’t give any more geek criticism than that as I feel like that’s been given way too much lately with all nerd properties lately. I’ll just enjoy this for what it is and say I’m totally sold on this movie!

Entertainment Weekly has shown new pics of the upcoming X-Men Apocalypse movie slated to be released next year. I’m really impressed with how good the costumes look. I mean we get a Psylocke with her bright purple ninja outfit from the 90’s. Magneto looks way more like Magneto.

Ivan Ooze

But what I’m the most impressed with is that we actually get a Storm that looks like Storm. And we have Storm with her mohawk!!! How fracking cool is that! She went through a wild phase in the 80’s and became very rambunctious and rebelled against her calmer side. She returned to this look recently in the comics too. Other than her 90’s Jim Lee look, this is definitely the coolest Storm. She even lost her powers for a time and was still able to kick Cyclop’s ass and take leadership away from him for a while. Good times!

Mohawk Storm
It’s a shame that it took this long to get costumes and the looks of the X-Men down in this movie. It has been labeled as being the last X-Men movie before they reboot the universe. Which actually seems like they already did reboot the universe, but whatever. I know Hugh Jackman has stated that he may not be coming back to the role again after this movie, unless it is to continue another role as Old Man Logan (long story, if you don’t know it, it’s not important right now). Maybe it could or couldn’t happen. I’ll just enjoy the ride and pretend that no other X-Movie came before this.

Ivan_Ooze 2

Anyways, what do you think? I’m very impressed with it so far myself. I don’t know why they replaced Apocalypse with Ivan Ooze from the Power Rangers, but I can still live with that too. Maybe he will look more impressive on the screen when the movie is done.
