January 27 – International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Over 11 million people were killed during the Holocaust by Nazis. This does not count the survivors who were still tortured and scarred for life. The idea that fucking Nazis still exist boggles my mind. Of the 11 million killed, there were thousands of gay men that were rounded up and also tortured in these concentration camps. This is where we get infamous Pink Triangle. It was originally used to mark and shame those that were homosexual and sent to these torture camps. Now it is symbolic with gay rights and empowers us all. Those that have passed and those that survived, need to be remembered so that we can help to prevent this from happening again.

The man below is Rudolf Brazda, the last known gay Holocaust survivor. He died at the age of 98 in 2011. Side note- Men are currently being rounded up and murdered in Chechnya. Whether or not mainstream media outlets report this, it does need to be known publicly.
