Masters of the Universe vs. the DC Injustice Universe in a New Mini Comic Series in July 2018

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe are going to be fighting up against or teaming up in some instances, with the the DC Injustice Universe. I do not know if this is a good or bad thing, but I will take anything with He-Man at this point. The Masters of the Universe…Universe…has been in limbo for a bit and should have an ongoing comic book series. For reasons, they just have been shelved.

Tim Seeley will be the writer for this series. He will be teaming up with artist Freddie E. Williams II, who I am a huge fan of myself. He drew my boy Tim Drake in his Robin series for a bit and did a fantastic job. He also was the artist for the He-Man/Thundercats crossover mini series.

The synopsis for the 6 issue mini series reads: Believing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe defeated, a robotic impostor (FAKER?!) has seized control of Eternia—but not for long! After freeing his kingdom from this strongman’s rule, He-Man learns not everyone is pleased to see the pretender deposed—but Adam knows the value of freedom. When heroes from another dimension ask his aid in deposing a superhero turned dictator, he agrees. Teaming up with Batman against the Superman of the Injustice Universe, He-Man and his new allies face dangerous and familiar enemies in a battle where no world is safe!

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has had several comic book series. They even had a comic book series with DC Comics existing in their universe had a crossover taking place on Earth. This series had a great ending, but left readers wanting more. Particularly from He-Man’s twin sister, She-Ra. There have been reports of a new movie to be made, which this itself has been in limbo for over 30 years. There was a great crossover with Thundercats, that made 80’s kids rejoice. The toyline Super7 has kept the figures going, but not a lot more for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has never been revealed. With Injustice, which is a much darker DC universe, we may see some very twisted and re-imagining of characters that most Masters of the Universe fans are not used to seeing.
