Whoa, this is a badass issue! Bobby has finally came out to his parents but also has to deal with Juggernaut wreaking havoc. This is a great issue in this ongoing series and I have to say that I am loving Bobby Drake’s story. Sina Grace is the writer and Alessandro Vitti is the artist for this issue.

It’s comic book day! Wonder Woman #19 – More story on the government team watching Wonder Woman – Godwatch.
Detective Comics #952 – Lady Shiva lays the smackdown on all of the Bat-team. Including Batman.
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corp #16 – Guy Gardner vs. Arkillo…with no rings. It’s a bloody match!
Action Comics #975 – Who is Clark Kent?! It’s finally revealed who this mysterious figure is.
Inhumans vs. X-Men #6 – The Conclusion to this war. It’s pretty damn epic and is going to have implications for a long time to come.
Superwoman #8 – Tie in to the Superman Reborn storyline. This is somewhat of a filler story, but essential to know what is happening to Lana Lang.

I feel like it is such a tease that we get a glimpse of Wolverine’s classic costume in The Wolverine (pictured above), but never have we seen Hugh Jackman wear it. Not even for a promo pic or a behind the scenes fun image that is just for fans. It was almost as if Fox did not want to give viewers that comic book look that many of us, including me, really wanted.

The original reason behind the ‘no costume’ rule for the X-Men was that director Bryan Singer did not think that yellow and blue spandex would appeal to modern audiences. Which is true and it did work decently on screen. Hence, we got black leather uniforms instead. This later translated over to the comics as the book was written with the team adopting black uniforms as well. This was an attempt to bridge the gap with new readers to get into comics and see similar looks from screen to print. Separate universes, but still similar.

Things have changed since then and we have many more realistic costumes in all Marvel movies in both Disney and Fox. Granted, X-Men is still owned by Fox and there probably will not be any X-People running around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon, but in X-Men: Apocalypse, we did get a badass last image of the team in much more classic costume looks that left many people gasping and wanting more. Maybe we can see Wolverine at some point in his real costume. I would love that myself. What about you? The Wolverine model picture below is by the badass model/actor: Jonathan Carroll aka Monkey of Steel

Flash #12 – Barry and Wally are stuck in the Shadowlands dimension and have to work together to free Iris and escape.
Action Comics #969 – Lex Luthor has been captured by two intergalactic saviors that fear that Lex will kill millions in the future. Which is probably true. Superman has to face a moral dilemma to save him or leave him to his fate.
Spider-Man #10 – Miles Morales has been hiding from Captain Marvel since the revelation that he may be Captain America’s killer in an Inhuman vision. Now he makes his presence known.
Wonder Woman #12 – Princess Diana has more backstory told on her 1st year being in man’s world. Her connection to Ares is going to be explored as is her romance with Steve Trevor.
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corp #10 – Hal is dead and the Corp is captured and shrunken in a city bottle.
Inhumans vs. X-Men #1 – The first strike has been cast and the mutants are fighting to destroy the terrigen cloud that has killed many mutants in the Marvel Universe.
Still no word on Tim Drake while he is incarceration by Mr. Oz in Detective Comics #946…so frustrating. We keep getting flashbacks and holograms. That sucks.
