If you haven’t seen BBC’s Sherlock series, you should! Before I even knew that Sherlock’s legendary nemesis, Moriarty, was possibly a gay character, I watched the show because it was incredibly well written. Now recently I just found out that the actor himself is gay! That’s great! Especially because I was secretly crushing on the actor a bit. He’s very cute and it helps that he’s very talented and plays the role of Moriarty so well that I think he should win awards for it. His character has never been confirmed as being gay or straight, but I’d like to think that he’s more a pan-sexual that does what he wants to get his end goals achieved. Sort of like how Daken, Wolverine’s son acts in Marvel Comics.

WOOT!
I love this show, and am looking foward to the third series. I suspected from the start that Moriarty might be bi, or at least gay. Andrew Scott coming out as gay is therefore epic! The only thing that could have made this better for me is if both the actor and character were bisexual, though I like your theory, Paulie.

Thanks for this. What a cool thing to wake up to!
