Besides the fact that Cameron is cuter than hell the scene really catches the moment of discovery, when someone truly sees something for the first time. The whole museum scene is sweet, with a Dream Academy instrumental cover of a Smiths song. It’s really swell on the big screen…I saw it when it was originally released.* Yes, I’m that old. (Now I feel creepy about another reply as to how good looking you are…But you’re a celebrity of sorts so it’s OK to gawk.)
*And they were giving away Ferris Buehler movie posters and buttons that had “FBDO Leisure Rules” on them. Still have a button or two somewhere.

The picture… it’s made of dots… dots I tell you… dots.

But films did have a fascination with zooming in on people’s eyes. I think it’s become a trend again.
